Proposed closure of Daniel James School. As you may have seen in the local press, there is still a chance that the school could close in 2012. At the current time, our use of the pool will continue as normal. We have heard that if the school does close, the facilities may be taken over by another educational body and we hope that our current relationship with Daniel James School will carry on with any new potential occupiers of the facilities on site. Any further developments will be posted here.
Where is Daniel James Pool? Previously called Mynydd Bach Girls School, SA5 7HP. Daniel James Pool is situated off Llangyfelach Road. If approaching up Llangyfelach Road, turn left up a narrow drive, 50 meters past the lights. Facilities at Daniel James Pool. Daniel James Pool is 23m x 8m, it is 1m deep in the shallow end and 2.1m in the deep end. Pool water is 32°c. Ample free parking is available. Access to Male and Female changing rooms is available from the front foyer. Due to the layout of this Venue, lessons cannot be viewed, but parents are encouraged to return to the poolside 5 minutes before the end of the class to collect children. Parents are asked to stay inside the building during lessons in case they are needed. Any queries or problems should be taken to the Lifeguard on Poolside. When are the Tuition Times?
